For those of you who read regularly, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. Teaching as an adjunct doesn't pay shit, and one is left to take whatever irregular work comes one's way. So I was subbing for another professor while teaching my own classes and in addition working at a Sylvan Center. All of this on top of tryin to organize our belated honeymoon that we'll be taking in just a few short days. SO, that means I won't be writing for a while. I probably won't be back in town until January 4th. But man, I have some stories to tell about work. Let me just ask anyone out there if this makes sense to *anyone*: Our faculty advisory committee is co-chaired by an adminstrator. ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!! And when I raise the question, I'm looked at as though I'm Satan and people talk about how nice the admin. is. No one seems to see the ethical problem, the conflict of interest, or hear a rational argument when it is given. Ugh, too much more to say about this, but I need to go to bed and tend to my wife-with-a-cold. Hasta.
