Don't bother going to see "Fast Food Nation," a well articulated review of it found here. Although I'm sure it's a good book, this film was better fit for a documentary. The biggest waste of my time in a while. I will say, however, that anyone who does eat meat owes it to themselves to watch the last 20 minutes of the film, where we are shown the grotesque and violent killing floor.
